St. Matthew's is involved in a broad range of programs and activities that are open to the
community. This is not a comprehensive list; many activities and programs are formed as
needed. When you find a program of interest to you, please contact our church office
for additional information.
MANNA
St. Matthew's is a proud sponsor of MANNA, an ecumenical ministry of
Northwest Community Churches. Located at 1806 West 43rd, MANNA operates
a Thrift Shop, which funds the assistance effort to those in our
community who need help with utilities, rent, prescriptions, eye glasses, etc.
Programs now include line dancing, senior activities, Heights Meals on Wheels
and a food pantry. The food pantry serves those in our community requiring
food assistance.
Disciple Bible Study
Disciple Bible Study is a covenant Bible study open to church and community
members, who seek to deepen their understanding of the Bible and their
Christian faith. New groups form late summer and run throughout the school year.
Garden Club
The Garden Club is a monthly gathering for all who are interested in
gardening. The group meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
Methodist Heritage Class
This is a study led by the Pastor and held as needed for those who are interested
in learning more about the United Methodist Church.
Library
St. Matthew's has fantastic children's and adult libraries. They are open
during Sunday School and the 10:30 worship service, and upon request to our
Church Librarian. The library is also open to the public at designated times
during the week.
