Welcome to St. Matthew's!

"Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." 

St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church is an established and yet transitioning congregation seeking to show the love of God through the work of Jesus Christ to our neighborhood, our city and our world.

There are many ways we participate in the life around us: 

- We host monthly Pancake Breakfasts for the community, we participate in the food pantry, thrift store, and utility assistance program at MANNA, and we have a successful, growing Mentoring Program at Durham Elementary School.

- Through our United Methodist Connection, we fight malaria in Africa, and we assist those devastated by natural disasters in all areas of the globe, as well as right here in the United States.

Our worship services and our Communion Table are open to all, and we celebrate the love of God with excellent music and relevant, thought-provoking sermons.

We are always looking for innovative ways to learn to be the people we were created to be – and we invite you to join us. Come, and take your place at the Lord’s Table.
